The choices we make are always accompanied, now or eventually, with a reaction resulting from our choice. Consequences, if you will.

I call my artwork "Great Artistic Conquests" because every single drawing I complete makes me a better artist, and is therefore a victorious conquest over incompetence and lesser attainment in this skill I have chosen. Regardless of how my art ranks against that of professionals, I love what I do, where I am with it, and where I'm going with it.

I've tried just about all the different types of art, at least what I call art. Traditional drawing, painting, and sculpting. Classical animation, CGI too.

However, everything always points back to the one that started it all:

Of wood and graphite, this tool indeed takes after it's brother the pen and earns the honour of being "mightier than the sword".

Pencil and paper has always been the staple of artists, period. Even before they were invented!

It's cheap and allows you to get that explosive idea out of your head and onto some sort of visual containment device as fast as humanly possible! Practically every... no, I would say definitely every great artist can and usually does sketch their ideas before embarking on the big one. Even 3D modellers and animators do that, the good ones anyways. That's why the pencil is such a mighty machine.
